The beginning Long Arm Classes are $100 per person and have only two people on each machine, in a hands–on, two-hour class. Please plan accordingly in registering there will be no refunds, payment is required at registration.
You will need to bring
- A notebbok & pen
- 2 pieces of fabric to use for practice 1 piece 36×30, 27×24
- 1 yard of 45” batting
- Long Arm Pins & pin cushion
- A spool of Soo Fine 40 WT thread
- Snips to cut threads
- rotary cutter
- large ruler
In the class you will learn how to load your quilt and the basics of using the machine, such as bringing up the thread from the bottom, starting and ending. We will cover basic free motion quilting such as all–over loops, swirls, loops etc. how to set it up and how to roll your quilt.
Once you’ve taken the basic Long Arm Class, we invite you to rent a long arm machine by the hour and get those quilt tops made into quilts! The machines rent for $30/hour. Machine rental is by appointment and the hours are flexible.
